Another strong turn out for DCU, with 13 players to Churchill’s 6. You cannot fault our #keeness.
Churchill played a solid zone on D, which we combatted using our ho stack skillz. Despite some cheeky point blocks (including a particularly cheeky foot block from Churchill captain, ‘Chaptain’, Seyon), we worked our way up the pitch with beautiful cutting from the cutters, and peachy handling from the handlers. (The wings also did good.) We opted for a man defence + poach in the open lane, which did just fine. Churchill’s huck game was strong, but the deep danger was (usually) covered, so not too many completed. Special shoutout to our 2 freshers who played today- Beth and Aimeric. They continue to get better with every match, and both had some fantastic plays today (just plz through less blades, Aimeric- for all our sakes). Saggy did some great ‘layouts'.

Things to improve on:

- Stupid Throws- don’t throw them (*cough* Joey *cough*). When in doubt, ‘don’t be a hero’- Ravi et. al 2016. You know what’s not lame? Safe, direct, catchable throws.

- Keeping up our game throughout the second half. Energy levels dropped a bit and we definitely could have prevented a goal-score. Complacency is real, people.
